Shipping Challenges We All Face (and how to deal with them!)
Whether
you are shipping a fine furniture piece off your showroom floor, or direct from
the manufacturer, you are going to face some delivery issues. Most of us
employ white glove delivery services who “deluxe” a piece before delivery, but
furniture can get damaged during transit or off-loading. Or, it may
look different than what the client expects, and your delivery service then
becomes customer service. Here is how we address these challenges
at Carolina Rustica:
First,
we use our brick and mortar experience to frame customer expectations
about the product so they know that variances can exist in hand-crafted
products
Secondly,
we know there is no one-size-fits-all delivery solution.
Manufacturers and colleagues can tell you who is strongest in a particular area
Lastly,
we expect the unexpected. We are always available to talk someone
down from a ledge if disaster does strike. I wish we could say that
never happens, but all sorts of situations arise at the time of delivery.
