IDS in Paris Day 1: September 5, 2019
We are thrilled to have almost 30 IDS members and their guests here in Paris with us! How exciting is it to get to travel abroad with fellow IDS designers from all over the country?!
Most of our crew arrived in Paris this morning (Thursday). We have spent the day walking around the city, sampling french foods, and seeing the sights along the Seine River. And the hotel we are staying at - so. precious. It feels like you are totally immersed in French culture! We're staying at Les Dames du Pantheon. Each floor has a different theme based on the lives of famous French women in their time. It is such a wonderful hotel for our group. After all, the perfect place for an interior designer to stay at is one that has intriguing design - and this place sure is fascinating.
This evening our group met in the lobby before walking to the destination for our welcome dinner. We were treated to a lovely dinner at Bistro le Colvert - a French bistro only a 20 minute walk from the hotel.
We have a lot to look forward to this week - including the gourmet hotel breakfast of French pastries, cheeses, breads, meats, etc. This truly might be the best meal of each day! Stay tuned for pictures of the charming breakfast room - which is more like a magical cave.
