Louvre Museum - Claimed to be the most visited art museum in the world, Louvre is a 12th century royal palace that holds priceless collections of art. Having before only been open by invitation only, the fortress built by Philip II is now a museum open to the public. Louvre displays artworks such as the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo. The museum has eight different departments that visitors can explore: Egyptian antiquities, oriental antiquities, Greek, Etruscan, and Roman, Islamic Art, sculptures of the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Modern Times, objects of art, paintings, and graphic arts. Famous Streets and Avenues - Avenue de Champs-Elysées is where the glitz and glam are. Landmarked by the famous Arc de Triumph, the avenue has luxury dining and shopping. You can even climb to the top of the Arc for a panoramic view of the avenue. Avenue Victor Hugo is known for its architecture as well as its location close to the Arc de Triumph. A statue of Hugo can be found at the intersection with avenue Henri Martin. Avenue Montaigne is home to the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and is also well known in the fashion industry for all of its high-end storefronts.

Parks in Paris - Parisian parks come in all different shapes and sizes. Most of the parks are surrounded by palace gardens or amazing sites of architecture. Picnicking on the grounds or going for walks are things that the locals come out and do on beautiful days. If you would like to visit a park with activities, Jardin du Luxembourg has tennis courts, gives pony rides, allows for people to sail their boats in the nearby water, and performs a famous Guignol puppet show.
