Interior Design Society Awards First Ever Scholarships to Three Students
The Interior Design Society recently granted three
scholarships to students at the University of North Texas, East Tennessee State
University, and High Point University. This is the first year of the Interior
Design Society’s Scholarship Program. We had a strong pool of applicants from
all over the country. The recipients of this year’s scholarships are below.
Sarah Love
Sarah
is a senior at the University of North Texas. She is the President of the UNT
Interior Design Student Alliance and was an IDEC Student Design Competition
Regional Finalist. Sarah is “pursuing the career of interior design because
[she has] witnessed firsthand the amazing community within the industry.”
Alecia Reynolds
Alecia
is a junior at East Tennessee State University. She is a member of the Eastern
Tennessee IDS Chapter. Alecia says that she hopes “having a career in interior
design will allow [her] to create countless works that can be symbolic of [her]
and [her] personality.”
Krista
is a senior at High Point University. She is a member of the Interior
Merchandising and Design Club, and won a top four finalist award in NEWH
Sustainable Design Competition. Krista says that her “life goal is to pursue a
career that is not only fulfilling and enjoyable but has the ability to further
enhance other people’s lives.”
