IDS in Paris Day 3: September 7, 2019

Wow, today was an amazing day! Our group spent the majority of our time today at the Maison&Objet show - it's the reason we're here, after all.

We kicked off the day with a welcome breakfast with the one-and-only Patti Carpenter, along with the WantedDesign crew. We enjoyed coffee and croissants while hearing more about Maison&Objet, tips for navigating, and upcoming trends.

We saw lots of amazing things at Maison&Objet. Everyone agreed that this show is much different from those in the US that we are used to. The show was very easy to navigate - the trick was following what they call the "red carpet" - which is literally a red strip of carpet that will help you wind around all of the halls.

One of our favorite sections of the show is the Craft hall, where artisans are showcasing their handmade products. Sometimes they only had 5-10 items to show, because that's just how much time they take to create. We did lots of filming with House Tipster Industry - stay tuned for trend reports on what our designers spotted at Maison&Objet.

Tomorrow we head to the Paris flea markets. I think it might be what everyone has been looking forward to most. Check back for live streams on the House Tipster Industry Facebook page! Au revior!
